Queens beaten in netball diamond cup challenge

Malawi national netball team “the queens” on Saturday failed to replicate their impressive form in the South Africa diamond netball challenge cup as they lost to 47-42 host South Africa in the finals.

Queens, Africa’s number 1 ranked team enjoyed a good start in the preliminary round of the cup, and managed to beat South Africa in the same level. In their previous meeting the queens played with a high level of intensity and accuracy and managed to outsmart their opponents who struggled to find consistent in this game.

However, in the finals South Africa worked on their shortfalls and capitalized on the Queens’s complacency to win the title.
