Gaba the exciting prospect |
Pindani left Bullets at the time which can be best described
as at the prime of his football career, his dazzling skills and his enormous
trickery and dribbles had easily won the hearts of many big bullets supporters
and many believed that they had a legend in making, the youngster to follow the
footsteps of Kinnah Phiri (Bullets legend).
However, came the year 2011, the cash strapped bullets
struggled to keep their most prized asset, as the player couldn’t turn down a
once in a life time opportunity to join the capital city champions and in
addition to that a chance to have a significant rise on his payroll.
Fast-forward to 2012, with now more than a year since Pindani’s
heartbreaking (to big bullets fans) departure, there is a huge sigh of relief
to the reds followers, not that there is going to be a dramatic return of
pindani a player who then was being touted as Malawi’s Ronaldo no, but there is
an emergence of a new exciting prospect at big bullets in the name of Gabadinho
Muhango.
Despite only being at the tender age of 17, he has proven himself
to have loads of potential; he can change the game just with his moments of magic.
The youngster has taken his team back into contention of winning big trophies
by taking them to the finals of the presidential cup, after half a decade without
winning any silverware.
Gabadinho, has already scored seven goals in three cup appearances,
an impressive record for a 17 year old isn’t it? He has also already won a cup
in the senior side of Malawi national football team.
Do you thing Gaba will leave up to the expectations and be
an ideal replacement for pindani? Or do you see Gaba forcing his way through to
the national side, cementing his place and help Malawi to qualify for the
afcon?
