Presidential cup for free?

Presidential cup for free?
Last week the football fraternity reacted with shock, when the Football Association of Malawi FAM, announced that people would have to pay if they are going to have the glimpse of the deadly encounter between big bullets and Redlions, in the presidential cup finals.
It was a shock as people are already used to watching the finals for free since its inception.
FAM backed their point by citing that our clubs do not benefit much from the money of cup competitions when they participate, because the money they spend to cover their expenses is too exorbitant due to the high living standards, and they wanted our clubs to go home with a well sized pocket. The decision left a lot of Malawians worrying of where to fork the inflated K 500 price in the opening stands.
However, that has changed as the ministry of sports has done the opposite, by ordering that football enthusiast should watch the game free of charge. From my point of view I think this is a risk decision because our Kamuzu stadium is somehow past its life span and is already condemned by FIFA.
Using Kamuzu stadium, in the presidential cup it’s not such a bad idea but what I disagree with is the letting the game to be free of charge as that would not control the number of people to watch the game of such magnitude.
The second point is that, how would a well organised body like FAM fail to discuss with its ministry first, on the issue of charges, and instead of starting to embarrass each other before us, that when one has made a certain decision tomorrow the other comes to nullify it. As a football follower I would like to see a change on how government and FAM makes its decisions, they need to work together to avoid another scene that when someone today has come up with a decision and its reasons, the other one tomorrow will go and quash that point.
