Gaba answers critics in style
Big bullets high-ranking striker Gabadinho Mhango, on Sunday answered his critics in style by scoring his first two TNM super league goals to help bullets stun Reo Mpulula’s Azam tigers.
Gaba has been enjoying affair run of form to the start of the 2012/2013 season, he has guided his team to the presidential cup finals by notching up 7 goals in three appearances, however he has struggled to find the net in the TNM super league which has raised the eyebrows of his critics.
In a game against bullets the diminutive attacker scored two superbly taken goals to end his dry spell in the league. In an interview Gaba says that it was just unlucky that he was not scoring in the league.
“I am happy that I have scored in the league, I think lucky was not on my side when I was not scoring in the league, but I hope that I can now score more goals”
“I know that I have two goals in the league but I hope that I can score more goals and contend for the golden boot” he said.
When speaking to reporters’ bullets coach Edie Ngo’onamo hoped that his two goals mark the beginning of good things.
“He (Gaba) is a good player, works hard and has a very good reasoning. He has shown it today that he is a good player, I talked to him that people are worried, that he is not scoring in the league and he pledge to me that he would score a hat trick, but he has scored a brace which is a good thing.” he said
His opposite number reo Mpulula heaped praises on the young attacker when describing him to reporters.
“To be a good striker it doesn’t matter of what age, look at Gaba he is a very young striker who is never afraid of defenders, it’s just a matter of being a natural striker and work hard in training” he said
Gaba’s stunning form has seen him earning a cap in the national team, in a game against Zambia and he is in pipeline to help Malawi qualify for the Africa cup of nations in south Africa.
