Botswana U 17 has arrived in the country ahead of its mouthwatering clash against the Malawi U 17 in the African youth championship qualifier on Saturday, at silver stadium.

In the past few years, there has been lack of support when it comes to attending the matches of our junior sides. For god’s sake it’s our own junior team. How would we expect to have a good national team in the future, when we are failing to give the required morale to the players who would represent us in the near future? Yet when our senior side is not performing well we start blaming the coach.

We need to take note that, we can only have a strong national team if we ensure proper development of our young players. All the successful national teams like Spain, Brazil etc they all have strong youth national teams, and they proudly support them whenever they are performing. Why can’t we do the same?

Let’s start showing true love and patriotism by supporting the flames from all levels, so that we can give our future national team the required morale. Come Saturday the place to be is at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe, and don’t forget to put on your red shirt or T-shirt because we are talking of the flames here. Charges, it’s only at K200.
