Could this be the surprise of the week?

Could this be the surprise of the week?
Well, I don’t know where to start from. But I could not let this go; this has been one of the week’s major shocks.TNM super league action this week saw surprise title challengers Redlions taking on Lilongwe strugglers Blue eagles.
The Zomba based outfit went into the match as odds on favorite to run away with the valuable three points, taking into account how prolific the Reds have been in the league. Redlions went into the match boasting an astonishing 12 point gap, and being the team with the most organised defense. As if that is not enough, they had their unbeaten tag hanging on their heads.
However, on the other hand blue eagles had an underdog status on their tag. The area 30 based outfit was sitting in second canto of the log(the bottom half).blue eagles coach Dickleck Msakakuona was determined to resuscitate their side, so that they can finish strong going into the second round.
Stereo Gondwe’s side (Redlions) had an advantage in the match, as they were playing at home. On Sunday that was not the case, blue eagles had other ideas. Redlions was well beaten in last week’s fixture 3-0 and they were left scratching on what went wrong.
That result gave a breathing space to the league champions silver strikers who won comfortably in their assignment against Mafco. Silver scored five unanswered goals to extend their lead at the log table. Silver comfortably sit on top of the log on 31 points, after completing their first round assignments.
Nevertheless, that does not deny Redlions, who sit on second place with 27 points, but with fewer games than the league toppers. Redlions have two games in hand.
This weekend brings us another exciting week of TNM super league games, big bullets after  narrowly defeating Moyale barracks to run away with the presidential cup trophy, the super league has given them a second chance to prove their credentials that their win against Moyale was a well  deserved victory, but remember  this time around they head to Mzuzu (get note that this time around it won’t be at a neutral ground, the Kaning’ina based soldiers will play this game at home)without  the inspiring man, Gabadinho Muhango.
After the tough game against Moyale, Bullets will have a less intimidating game against Kabwafu, who stand on position 14.
The league strugglers, Escom united have an assignment against the wounded Mafco who lost embarrassingly against silver strikers.
