Bullets face second Moyale test
Presidential cup champions Big Bullets football club this
weekend face Moyale barracks in the TNM super league in a match which will
seemingly be like the rematch of the 2012 presidential cup finals, which took
place in Lilongwe a week ago.
Bullets narrowly beat Moyale in the presidential cup finals
through a solo goal by star forward Gabadinho Mhango. However this weekend
bullets go in Mzuzu without their three star players who played a major part in
guiding them to cup glory last weekend.
Gabadinho Mhango, Owen Chaima and Chimango Kayira, will all
miss the game as they are in the Malawi national football team squad, which
take on Ghana. On the other hand Moyale will have the an added advantage as
they will recall their players who recently graduated from the Malawi Defense Force
training.
Moyale indeed will be a much improved side than that which
played last weekend and the fact that the game is at their backyard, the soldiers
of Kaning’ina are the clear favourites to take maximum points against the
recently crowned presidential cup champions.
Let us wait and see if bullets will be able to complete a
double on their opponents in a space of seven days, or does Moyale have other
ideas?
